1. Teacher of English and Literature

  • An undergraduate degree in English and a recognized teaching qualification
  • Relevant experience teaching English language and literature to senior secondary level
  • A qualification and experience in working with students for whom English is an additional language is an advantage
  • A commitment to student centred inquiry based learning
  • A growth-mindset looking to continually improve
  • Familiarity with and ideally experience teaching IB (MYP and DP)
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a new cultural environment

2. Teacher of Chinese (Native Mandarin)

  • Bachelor’s Degree with professional qualifications in education.
  • Native Chinese speaker with an excellent command of English.
  • An in-depth understanding of Chinese languages, history and cultural heritage
  • 2 years documented teaching experience in IB Chinese, preferably, both MYP and DP experience
  • Experience in a bilingual work place
  • A commitment to student centred inquiry based learning
  • A growth-mindset looking to continually improve
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a new cultural environment

3. Counsellor

The counsellor will work primarily with secondary students but also with staff, parents, community professionals and other agencies to provide school-based counselling support for students’ mental health and social-emotional development.

Key responsibilities:

1. School support.

  • Contribute to the school counselling programme, including but not limited to needs analysis, screening / early identification and referral of students with mental health needs and social, emotional and behavioural problems
  • Provide consultation for staff and contribute to training for staff and parents on issues related to mental health and wellbeing
  • Work with relevant community professionals and agencies as needed to support students
  • Provide crisis management support as necessary

2.    Preventative Programmes.

  • Develop and conduct psycho-educational sessions for students on mental health issues
  • Develop and make available mental health resources for students, parents and staff

3.    Responsive Services.

  • Provide individual and group counselling to students
  • Work with staff, parents and community professionals and other agencies regarding students in counselling
  • Develop safety plans for individual students as necessary
  • Liaise with the learning support departments on students with learning issues.
  • Provide direct crisis intervention and follow-up for students affected by critical incidents

The ideal candidate will have

  • A professional counselling qualification such as a Diploma or a Masters degree in counselling
  • A minimum of one year's work experience in socio-emotional counselling with adolescents (ages 10 to 19). Previous school counseling experience an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively
  • Cantonese an advantage

French and Spanish Supply Teacher

  • To be included in the supply teachers’ pool and will be working on an ad hoc basis when required
  • An undergraduate degree in French and Spanish and a recognized teaching qualification
  • A CELTA or equivalent TEFL qualification 
  • A Registered Teacher with the Hong Kong Education Bureau
  • Commitment to student-centred and inquiry-based learning
  • Knowledge of relevant IB programmes (MYP, DP) an advantage
