VSA is inviting applications for the following position(s):

1. Head Nurse

Key Responsibilities
• Provides appropriate first aid and nursing care to students and staff
• Monitors and maintains first aid supplies for the medical room
• Maintains and update students’ health record 
• Arranges insurance claim for students and follow up sick/injured students’ condition
• Alerts Principals, teachers and parents of any contiguous cases in school and provides 
  professional advice on precautionary measures
• Liaises with CHP regarding immunizations, contagious diseases and school guidelines
• Be part of the health education team in Primary and Secondary and delivers talks to 
   students occasionally
• Organises exercises relevant to staff health issues, e.g. staff testing, where necessary

• At least 5 years nursing experience, preferably with school and acute hospital experience
• Holder of valid Practicing Certificate from the Nursing Council of Hong Kong
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
• Pleasant, patient and caring personality
• Demonstrates organizational and crisis management skills, with the ability to multi-task 
  and work under stressful conditions

2. Laboratory Technician II / III – Chemistry or Physics

Key Responsibilities:
• To assist teachers in planning, trying out and conducting science experiments and relevant demonstrations, as well as other science-related activities
• To prepare, update and manage science-related materials and resources
• To provide support to students on science-related learning
• To prepare, construct, operate and maintain laboratory apparatus and equipment, and to conduct routine laboratory tests
• To purchase laboratory apparatus, equipment and other items necessary for Laboratories
• To be responsible for the maintenance of science-related facilities.
• To be responsible for all the normal safeguards in laboratories.
• To provide support and advice on the promotion and monitoring of laboratory safety

• Degree in Science, major in Chemistry or Physics preferable
• Certificate for Laboratory Technicians with minimum 2 years working experience in preparation of chemistry or physics experiments in secondary schools
• Experience in preparation of general sciences experiments is an advantage
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Laboratory Technician III
