VSA is inviting applications for the following position(s)

For the School Year 2021-22:

1. PYP Coordinator

As part the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will work alongside our Principals 
and Chinese PYP Coordinator and be heavily involved in the whole-school implementation and 
organisation of the PYP programme. 

Key Responsibilities
  To provide pedagogical leadership and coordinate the PYP curriculum within the school 
  Support all teachers in delivering an inquiry-based education across the PYP programme
  To communicate PYP related information to the parent community
  To coordinate the Professional Development of PYP staff 

Requirements and Experience
  Bachelor Degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE 
   (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent
•  Proven experience as a pedagogical leader within a PYP school environment
  Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team
  An exemplary teaching background in inquiry-based learning and the ability to act as a 
   pedagogical leader of the PYP programme in the school
•  Excellent communication skills in English – both spoken and written
  Experience working in a bilingual environment an advantage

2. Associate Teachers – Fluent English or Mandarin Speaking 
                                         (1-year Contract)

Key Responsibilities
• Support teachers and students in primary classes (6-11 years old)
• Work with small group of students
• Cover classes where appropriate

• Newly Qualified Teacher or part-time PGDE student
• Interested in gaining IB/PYP experience 
• A commitment to student centred inquiry based learning

Supply Teachers

  • To be included in the supply teachers’ pool and will be working on an ad hoc basis when required
  • Registered teacher with the Hong Kong Education Bureau
  • Commitment to student-centred and inquiry-based learning
  • Knowledge of relevant PYP programmes an advantage
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Hong Kong
