VSA is inviting applications for the following position(s):

For the School Year 2021-22:

1.MYP Design and Computer Science Teacher

● Fully certified teacher with at least five years of verifiable classroom experience, preferably
● IB MYP & DP experience is preferred but not required
● Higher degree/graduate certificate in Educational Technology
● One or more of the following: Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Teacher, Adobe Certified Expert, Adobe Certified Instructor, Adobe Educational Leader
● Robotics and programming (block coding, e.g., Makecode, Scratch, Swift Playgrounds) and Xcode, Python, etc., to support effective teaching and learning practice 
● Experience in middle school IT teaching, include CAD, coding and application
● An understanding of key learning theories and methods of instruction, and their relation to technology integration, such as ISTE and SAMR.
● Experience in implementing technology initiatives such as learning networks (LMS, i.e., Google Classroom, Managebac, Google Suite, etc.), and able to create and deliver digital citizenship curriculum., Experience working in 1:1 learning environments
● Advanced knowledge of Apple software and ability to troubleshoot technology issues 
● Experience evaluating learning technology integration
● Superior communication skills to work with teachers with a range of technological expertise
● A commitment to student centred inquiry based learning
● Enthusiasm for pastoral care and building strong relationships with students; this includes homeroom teacher and PSHE responsibilities
● A growth-mindset looking to continually improve
● Demonstrated ability to adapt to a new cultural environment


Chinese Teacher (Maternity Cover from mid-August to mid-November 2021)  

• Bachelor’s Degree or above with professional qualifications in Chinese language education
• Native Mandarin speaker with an excellent command of English
• An in-depth understanding of Chinese languages and cultural heritage
• Experience in a bilingual work place
• Familiarity with and ideally experience teaching IB MYP Chinese Language and Literature and Chinese Language Acquisition
• A commitment to student centred inquiry based learning
• A growth-mindset looking to continually improve
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to a new work environment

Supply Teacher

• To be included in the supply teachers’ pool and will be working on an ad hoc basis when required
• Registered teacher with the Hong Kong Education Bureau
• Commitment to student-centred and inquiry-based learning
• Knowledge of relevant IB programmes (MYP, DP) an advantage
• Applicants must have the right to work in Hong Kong
